The China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition, known as the “Olympics” of the innovation and entrepreneurship world, has sailed once more! In April 2023, the 7th International Competition will be formally begun. The total prize money of the competition is 9.71 million RMB, with a single contender having the possibility to collect the complete prize money plus landing support of up to 1.75 million RMB. At the same time, the competition will offer industrial support, science and technology finance, project incubation, and other assistance for high-quality entrepreneurial projects, including project recruitment, overseas counseling, offshore pre-incubation, online cloud incubation, online matchmaking, visits to Shenzhen, local industry matchmaking, mentor and expert matchmaking, venture capital matchmaking, support policy matchmaking, industrial park matchmaking, and so on.

This year’s competition continues to focus on cities and regions where overseas high-end talents gather, and the scale of the competition has been expanded. There are 13 countries, including Silicon Valley of the United States, Boston of the United States, Stockholm of Sweden, Zurich of Switzerland, and Singapore, where hold 14 overseas sub-competitions. The competition closely follows Shenzhen’s “20+8” industrial layout, and sets up seven participating industries of “new generation electronic information, digital and fashion, high-end equipment manufacturing, green low carbon, new materials, biomedicine and health, and marine economy”.

France and Shenzhen have close economic and trade exchanges and France is one of Shenzhen’s most important trading partners in Europe. In recent years, there have been close cooperation and exchanges in various fields such as biomedicine, auto parts, and fashion consumption. Among them, the French Sanofi Group, French Faurecia and other well-known French brands and enterprises are booming in Shenzhen, and the cooperation has continued to deepen and achieved fruitful results.

Shenzhen and France have established a close cooperative relationship, and have carried out long-term exchanges and cooperation and economic and trade exchanges in many fields, with a solid foundation and broad space for cooperation.

Last year, Guangming District successfully hosted the 6th Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Paris, France and the final of the new material industry. Among them, the “Metal Nanomaterials High-precision Green Mass Production” project from the French competition area stood out from 2144 projects from 55 countries and regions to advance to the finals and won the third prize.

This year, Guangming District will continue to host the 7th Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Paris, France, to help Shenzhen accurately introduce global “high-tech and cutting-edge” talents and projects.

Entry Requirements: 1. Overseas high-level entrepreneurial teams or individuals with innovative achievements and business plans; 2. Participants should not have registered a business entity in Shenzhen as a legal representative or shareholder, and they should plan to register a company in Shenzhen or establish cooperative connections with Shenzhen’s relevant industries after the competition; 3. The ownership of the products, technologies, or related patents of the participating projects belongs to the participants, without any property disputes with others. Participants are responsible for any liabilities arising from intellectual property infringement; 4. Participants and projects that have previously received awards in the first China Shenzhen Overseas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and previous China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions (including domestic and international competitions) are not eligible to participate in this competition again.

Bonus Settings

The competition set up generous bonuses in the three stages of overseas sub-station finals, industry finals and finals, with a total bonus of 9.71 million yuan. When contestants receive different awards and supporting packages, the rewards can be stacked and enjoyed, and a single contestant will have the opportunity to receive a competition bonus of up to 1.75 million yuan and landing support. 1 first prize in the Spanish sub-station, with a bonus of 100,000 RMB; 2 second prizes, each with a prize of 50,000 RMB; 3 third prizes, each with a prize of 30,000 RMB. Projects can accumulate bonuses for overseas division competitions, industry finals and finals.
