Nicole Caley, Founder, CEO (Chief Executive Optimist) for Living Virtuously LLC, was recently chosen to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in and of itself, only a few select members are chosen for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. These special honorees are selected to receive this award based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions to society, and their impact on their industries. Nicole will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala at the iconic Plaza Hotel in NYC this December.

Nicole’s genuine passion for serving shines through Living Virtuously LLC, having grew up in the Chicagoland area, she consciously ensured to go above and beyond for the women and young girls in this area to make a difference. Now, having relocated to Phoenix, she plans to expand the servant passion to those in need in her new metropolitan area. She accomplishes this through private speaking engagements and volunteer work, specifically focusing on empowering young girls in urban areas to not only understand, but believe, that they have the power to choose their path in life – that they do not have to be a victim to life’s circumstances. Although some may argue that Nicole was a victim of child sexual abuse, she chooses to view that period in her life as a valuable experience that has allowed her to assist others. She made the decision to transform her pain and sadness into a triumph, overcoming the shame that plagued her and choosing to dedicate her life to helping others overcome it, too. Nicole has utilized Living Virtuously and her personal story to offer valuable resources that empower young girls and adult women to overcome the challenges of past sexual abuse. Nicole is relatable and authentic, enabling her to establish meaningful connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds, social statuses, ethnicities, and religions. She teaches individuals that their past does not need to determine their future.
Nicole’s dedication to empowering women is complemented by her extensive experience in senior leadership positions in operational accounting at multi-billion-dollar organizations spanning over two decades. In her full-time career, Nicole focuses on organizational leadership, staff development, and training in her various roles. During her time in these positions, Nicole has successfully organized multiple Women’s Leadership Summits. These summits have been crucial in establishing a Women’s Business Council. The primary objective of this council is to provide support and create opportunities for women to excel in leadership positions, ultimately working towards reducing the gender gap in senior leadership roles. In 2019, she had the honor of being featured in the book America’s Leading Ladies Who Positively Impact the World alongside influential women such as Oprah Winfrey, Melinda Gates, and numerous other remarkable individuals.
Nicole founded Payables Solutions Partners, LLC in late 2018 to further progress in the field of Accounts Payable (AP). In her role as an advisor, she provides guidance to global organizations on navigating systems, processes, and organizational changes. In addition, she conducts a thorough assessment of their AP operation to develop a comprehensive plan that addresses the client’s specific business requirements. Nicole offers leadership coaching services specializing in emotional intelligence, conflict management, and the development of high-performing teams.
Nicole devotes a substantial portion of her leisure time to serving as the President of the Board for the Illinois Chapter of the Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM). She is a highly regarded partner of IOFM, where she teaches global certification courses for various professionals such as accounts payable specialists and managers (APS/APM), accounts receivable specialists and managers (ARS/ARM), procure-to-pay specialists and managers (P2PS/P2PM), and order-to-cash specialists and managers (O2CS/O2CM).
Before embarking on her career path, Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a Certificate in Forensic Accounting and then her Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University.
Throughout her remarkable career, Nicole has received awards accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. In 2016, she received the AP Director of the Year award for Organizations > $1B from the Institute of Finance and Management. She was chosen as the Outstanding Professional of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women in 2017. In 2018, she was honored as the Top Professional of the Year in Finance and Management by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Additionally, in 2019, she was recognized as the Empowered Woman of the Year and featured in TIP (Top Professional Industry) magazine. In 2022, she received the prestigious honor of being named IAOTP’s Most Inspirational Member of the Year. Nicole was chosen to be featured in the 2nd Edition of the Top 50 Fearless Leaders Publication by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) earlier this year. Nicole received the Benedictine University Alumni Rising Star Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to graduates who have made noteworthy contributions in their respective fields.
Looking back, Nicole credits her success to her resilience, perseverance, determination to make choices, and unwavering passion in all her business endeavors. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. For the future, she will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of young girls through her exceptional speaking and coaching skills, as well as her extraordinary life experiences.
